Patients and those at risk
Novo Nordisk has a 51% market share of the global insulin market (by volume). We also advocate on behalf of patients for systemic healthcare change to support chronic disease management.

Shareholders and business partners
We aim to communicate openly with shareholders about the company's financial and business development as well as strategies and targets. We also purchase resources and inputs from more than 38,000 suppliers.

Environment
We use water, energy and other raw materials to produce therapies for patients. As a result of our operations, we produce emissions and waste. Managing our environmental impact and resource consumption reduces our costs and minimises our impact on the environment.

In 2008, the total number of jobs created was 88,500.
